Standing for LGBTQ+ justice after SCOTUS strikes down Roe v. Wade

Reproductive justice is queer justice.

With today’s Supreme Court ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, we stand resolute in our conviction that every person must be guaranteed the right to reproductive health access.

We send our support and love to every person – especially young people – across the country who are scared and fearful of what this ruling means for them, and what the future might hold. Know that while the Supreme Court pushes extremism, six justices absolutely cannot undercut the power and strength of our collective moments for justice and equality.

It is abundantly clear that some justices are now eager to overturn LGBTQ+ rights. So much is on the line: same-sex relationships, marriage equality, fertility treatments, and basic LGBTQ+ dignity. We must raise our voices now, be heard, and take action to get out the vote.

Today, many are looking for help, and we also have to focus our immediate attention to supporting those who desperately need access to reproductive healthcare and abortion care. Let us rely on one another now more than ever. Together, we will find a way.

Campus Pride stands ready to support and empower college students as they push back against this horrific ruling — and as we all fight for our shared future, in which our fundamental rights are not up for debate.

Now we must raise our voices, be heard, take action to get out the vote, now and into the future. And Campus Pride will continue our mission to train the next generations of LGBTQ+ leaders and activists, to continue this long but necessary fight.
