Campus Pride and Common App released ā€œA Brief Guide to Common Appā€™s Name, Sex, and Gender Questions for Member Institutions.ā€ The guide aims to help colleges and universities understand and use the information provided by Common App in the 2022-2023 application cycle.Ā 

Common App is used by over 1 million students as they apply to more than 1000 colleges and universities each year. Campus Pride is proud to collaborate with Common App on their Evolving the Application initiative, which aims to reduce the barriers students face in applying to college.

The Changing Nature of Gender in the 21stĀ Century: How Trans and Nonbinary Students Applying to College Today Self-Identify

The last decade has seen a generational shift in how gender is lived and viewed. Refuting the common assumption that gender can be reduced to female and male, many members of Gen Z identify as nonbinary and use pronouns other than ā€œhe/himā€ or ā€œshe/her.ā€ This report analyzed data from the Common App, the online admissions form used by more than 1,000 colleges and universities in the U.S., to consider how college students today are identifying their gender and pronouns. More than 1.22 million students filled out the Common App to attend college in Fall 2022, and this was the first year that the form gave students the option to indicate their gender and pronouns.

Campus Pride 2010 National College Climate Survey

TheĀ State of Higher Education for LGBT PeopleĀ is the most comprehensive national research of its kind to date. The report documents experiences of nearly 6000 students, faculty, staff and administrators who identify as LGBTQQ at colleges and universities across the United States. Recommendations and findings from the national study provide the means for student activists, campus program planners and policy makers to implement strategic initiatives to address the needs and concerns of their LGBTQQ students and employees.

Campus Pride Index
is a vital tool for assisting campuses in learning ways to improve their LGBTQ campus life and ultimately shape the educational experience to be more inclusive, welcoming and respectful of LGBTQ and Ally people.The only online tool of its kind, the Index is in response to the increasing demand for resources to support campuses in assessing LGBTQ-Friendly policies, programs and practices. The index was developed by Campus Pride and is supported by the Q Research Institute for Higher Education and an advisory board of national LGBTQ researchers.

Experiences of LGBT People in Fraternities & Sororities: From 1960 to 2007

The Lambda 10 Project, an educational initiative of Campus Pride & its Q Research Institute for Higher Education, commissioned the first-ever national formal research exploring the LGBTQ experience within fraternities and sororities from 1960 to 2007. Experiences of LGBTQ People in Fraternities & Sororities: From 1960 to 2007 represents the largest national study to date and builds on the data from an informal assessment published in 1995.
